Doctor Paola Perina
Good morning everyone. I am Dr. Paola Perina, I graduated from the University of Verona in the Faculty of Educational Sciences, and, following the legal path, I chose the exams in private law, family law, and Children's legislation. I followed a first-level master's degree in clinical psychology.
I currently collaborate with some law firms in the care of clients who have problems related to family law.

I did my internship at the Ordinary Court of Verona, in the Family Section, which concerns the processes of separation and divorce, therefore of custody, and all those processes concerning the parents, whether they are married or just living together.
In this way, I was able to observe the mechanisms of a judiciary office and develop different skills according to the various procedural phases, especially, in what interests me the most: I have deepened the techniques of mediation, of
conflicts and negotiations, including those aimed at defining familiar procedures with agreements between the parties, in the process, looking for some shared solutions, acquiring useful elements for defining the patrimonial relationships between the parts, and ensuring the maintenance of the children.

I also learned the functioning mechanisms of the legal hearings, having an interest in the legal aspects of the dispute, showing data that allowed me to collaborate without problems in drafting provisions on the agreed conclusions or the protection of the disabled, and integrating my knowledge with theirs.

How I can help you

famiglia felice

I help all family members, using their internal resources to draw on to manage and overcome the problem, applying specific skills, techniques, and competencies. I support and collaborate for the solution of problems of a conflictual, parental, emotional, trust, and dialogue nature, identifying an alternative in a new perspective. I help family members restore their balance, redefining everyone's roles and spaces, highlighting everyone's potential and resources; breaking down the old thought patterns that led the couple into an unpleasant situation, and providing a new way and new ideas. I help people to get a transformation and a change, offering everything needed to face it in the best possible way, always remaining available for questions and clarifications.

The different meetings can include both single and couple meetings.

The first meeting lasts about 60 minutes and is free, the focus is to know the general situation.

PARENTS AND CHILDREN

I help couples who have practical management problems in parenting and preparing for parenting.

Specifically, I follow the couple who intend to embark on the path towards parenthood, who have disabled children, or who have problematic relationships related to the management of their children.

SEPARATION

Through my collaboration with law firms, I follow couples about to separate or already separated, helping them to resolve all the difficult personal repercussions related to the Family Protocol; management of children in shared, exclusive, or super exclusive custody, therefore bi-parenting, extraordinary expenses and crisis dynamics involving the minor.

I

offer emotional and practical support - management in the change of status, i.e. in the phase that accompanies the separation; from the "theoretical" decision-making phase to the presidential hearing, to the second hearing with the investigating judge, up to the approval of the separation and the rebalancing of the post-separation. Be it de facto, if it concerns cohabitation more uxorio, or legal, if it concerns marriage.

I assist the individual in managing their ex-partner, their children, and their finances in this delicate phase of change; in planning personal priorities with motivation and desire to quickly reach the final goal. I work with family members to help them understand and manage family dynamics during separation.

The objective of family counseling in this context is to provide an assessment and recommendations to the court on the family situation so that informed decisions can be made about child custody or visitation rights or the division of property.

During online family counseling sessions, I will help family members communicate effectively and deal with the emotions associated with separation by finding practical solutions to relevant family issues.

This type of counseling can also provide a safe environment for family members to voice their concerns and try to reach an agreement that is in everyone's best interests.

Importantly, family counseling is not a substitute for the legal process, but it can be a valuable adjunct to helping families navigate through judicial separation more constructively.
